Afridi was overheard explaining his condition and advising Kohli that he has a posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injury during the conversation with the Indian batsman.

At their meeting at the ICC Cricket Academy, Afridi disclosed his PCL diagnosis.

Injuries to the nerves and blood vessels, as well as PCL injuries, frequently accompany knee damage. These are frequently the result of severe knee damage, so quick medical attention is advised.

The length of recovery varies from individual to person. A minor injury could heal in as little as 10 days. However, recuperation could take anywhere between six and nine months for someone who has PCL surgery.

The medical staff at PCB recommended four to six weeks of respite for Afridi, it should be emphasised.

He won't just miss the forthcoming T20 Asia Cup in 2022, but also the domestic T20I series against England, which is set to take place in Karachi and Lahore from September 20 to October 2.

Shaheen is presently receiving treatment for her knee in Dubai. He will continue to play for the national team in the next T20 Asia Cup 2022.
